OK, so you’ve had Windows 8 for a while now and you’ve learned enough to put on your maintenance hat. Now you’re looking for tools like System Information, Device Manager, Disk Management, etc. You’ve fumbled through the Start Screen, searching for the tools you need, you’ve been burned by searching within Settings and not Apps, and finally found what you were looking for in a confusing list of options. There’s got to be an easier way!
Enter the Quick Access Menu – accessible via the Windows Key + X or alternatively, you can right-click on the bottom right corner of the screen to spawn the menu. The Quick Access Menu exposes system functionality and enables one-stop access to many key system management chores.
